What’s involved?
Create
Street art, graffiti—-create a mural with your friends show the community what is important to you in your area!
Contact
Contact council to find out about designated graffiti walls in your community and also to get involved in youth programs run by your local council.
Attend
Go support to events like "Reclaim the streets" in Sydney.
Attend your council's monthly community forums and have your say!
Organise
Organise a street party or picnic and get all people in the community involved. A lot of misconceptions people have about youth can stem from their own stereotypes, so prove them wrong!
Finally, walk the streets of your area, get to know the space and the people you share that space with. Most importantly, it may help you to become more connected to your area and the way in which you access public space.
Why should people do this?
I want to do this!
