Tracking Brazil's Elusive Jaguar

The expedition involves working with the Jaguar Conservation Fund to radio track mammals and discover their habits and needs. I will conduct a mammal census, collect and analyze scat, and perform behavioural observations. I will also assist with camera trapping, data input, and data processing. I am hopefull I will get the opportunity to help capture and radio collar carnivores, including puma, maned wolves, crab-eating foxes, ocelots and jaguars.

Why should people do this?

In 2008 I was lucky enough to be sponsored by my work to go on an Earthwatch expedition in Kenya. This year I would love to be able to volunteer again on this earthwatch expedition.

I learned so much in my last trip about the environment, the cultures of Kenya, and the importance of creating and maintaining sustainable environments.

Anyone can go on an Earthwatch expedition, I highly recommend it!

I hope this page will give you enough information about the expedition and ecourage you to help support me in my endevours to attend.
