What’s involved?
1 Million women aims to collectively cut 1M tonnes of carbon emissions. By taking the problem of climate change into our own hands, 1M women aims to inspire action on climate change in all levels of the Australian community.
By joining 1 Million Women online, you'll be making a commitment to start cutting your carbon emissions. With 10 000 women already doing it, and a range of carbon-cutting tips to get you started, you'll be joining a community that will encourage and help you track your efforts towards a better world, one CO2 emission at a time.
Why should people do this?
Climate change is real and it is transforming the way we live and the way society operates. Science is telling us that we are on course for a climate disaster and there is a great urgency to take action now. There are no excuses to not act and there is extraordinary power in women joining forces and working together.
