What’s involved?
The MHW 2011 Creative Arts Competition theme, "Be Open - Be Aware - Be Understanding - Be There" is intended to challenge people's perceptions and attitudes about mental health and aims to promote social inclusion and acceptance for people with a lived experience of mental illness.
MHAQ encourages creative art entries exploring this theme encompassing innovative ideas and creative expression. The winning entries will best capture this theme whilst being inspiring and positive.
Why should people do this?
By contributing your creative entries, you can express your experiences and passions around mental health, and help raise awareness and reduce stigma about this important life challenge.
You also go in the running to win prizes of $1,000 (Winner) and $250 (Runner Up) in each of the following categories:
- Short Story
- Poetry
- Drawing
- Song Writing
Other stuff
The competition is open to adults 18+.
Entries close at 5pm, Wednesday 31 August 2011.
