Your ActNow member profile is the place to explain yourself, list all the content you have created, and bookmark the stuff you are interested in. You can tell people as much or as little about yourself as you like.

Keep it short and sweet—one page maximum.

You might like to include things like …

  • Your life motto... any saying or motto that you might have or live by. It can be as serious or as funny as you want it to be.
  • A bit about your background … any information about you or your past that you wish other member's to know. It should be able to give readers an insight into what sort of person you are and how your past has shaped your view on life. It can include topics such as family, origin and schooling, past jobs, interests, past organisations or actions that you have taken. It may include any factors that have been influential in your life to date, such as trips, rallies or perhaps people you met. It should also include why you chose to/or why you are writing for the website.
  • What makes you want to act …
  • The thing you are most proud of …
  • What you did that taught you the most …

You can include a photo of yourself if you want (or maybe a photo of something that represents you: a flower, snail, book, waffle, smurf, guitar, R2D2, whatever).

ActNow is about inspiring and encouraging others to take action. If you have something you're proud of, you should put it in your member profile then write a story about it.

Lastly, we’d like to make an important point on privacy. Always think carefully about what contact details you want to make public. You may end up with more spam, or just get unsolicited emails from strangers. A lot of good can come from people getting in touch with you, but there are also a few risks.
